1. Who we are
WeatherMeteo Ltd operates the website weathermeteo.net. We are based at 39 Barton Rd, St Philip's, Bristol BS2 0LF, United Kingdom. You can contact us at [email protected] or by phone on +44 117 930 4321.
We are registered in England and Wales. As a company based in the United Kingdom, we are subject to UK GDPR (the UK General Data Protection Regulation, as retained in UK law following the EU exit).
2. What data we collect and why
Contact form submissions. When you use the contact form on our Connect page, we collect your name, email address, the subject you select, and the content of your message. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not add contact form submitters to any mailing list without their explicit consent.
Email newsletter sign-ups. If you submit your email address through the newsletter subscription form, we collect and store that address for the purpose of sending you notifications when new articles are published. You can unsubscribe at any time by contacting us at [email protected].
Cookies. We use essential cookies to maintain basic functionality of the website — specifically to remember your cookie preference. We do not set analytics, advertising or tracking cookies by default. See our Cookie Policy for details.
We do not collect payment information, location data, or any sensitive personal data. We do not build user profiles or engage in behavioural tracking.
3. Legal basis for processing
Where we process personal data, we do so on the basis of:
- Consent — for newsletter subscriptions and any non-essential cookies you accept.
- Legitimate interests — for responding to contact form messages you initiate.
4. How long we keep data
Contact form messages and email addresses are retained for as long as they remain relevant — typically until a correspondence is resolved or, in the case of newsletter addresses, until you unsubscribe. We do not retain personal data beyond what is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data with third parties. We do not use third-party advertising networks. If we use a third-party email service provider to manage newsletter subscriptions, that provider will process email addresses as a data processor on our behalf. We will update this policy if that arrangement changes.
6. Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time (where consent is the legal basis)
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within one calendar month.
7. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data from unauthorised access, disclosure or loss. This site uses HTTPS for all connections. Contact form data is transmitted securely and stored only as long as necessary.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, inform newsletter subscribers. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
